Kicking Goals With BHP & Rugby League

Last week we were lucky enough to attend BHP’s Kicking Goals Business Event at the Muswellbrook and District Workers Club. It was a fantastic opportunity to chat and exchange ideas with other members of the local business community. We also got to hear inspirational stories from rugby league greats Willie Mason and Matt Gillett, along with national women’s representatives Kody House and Tallisha Harden. They spoke passionately about leadership, resilience, inclusion and diversity in the community  - an important message for the Upper Hunter and all communities across Australia.

The Kicking Goals initiative aims to inspire and engage young players at a local, grassroots level, particularly female and indigenous youth. School training sessions, clinics and a community day at Muswellbrook District Junior Rugby League Football Club all form part of the program.

On this visit, the quartet of players visited St Joseph's High Aberdeen, Muswellbrook High, Singleton High School, Scone High School, the Denman Children's Centre and Mt Arthur Coal site.
